Before your first online yoga class

A practical checklist to help you arrive prepared, with the details sorted and a little space to begin.

A guide from the website journal

Joining something new often comes with small questions. Where do I find the link? Which batch works with my day? What do I need nearby? Sorting out the practical details can make the first session feel more familiar.

Choose a time you can return to

Start with the Yoga page to explore the morning and evening batches. The listed times use Indian Standard Time. If you are joining from another country, check what that means in your local time zone, including any seasonal clock changes.

Think about the minutes before and after the session, too. A batch is easier to make room for when you are not rushing straight into it.

Read the registration details

The registration form contains the current plans, payment instructions, and joining process. Read the terms before paying and follow the confirmation instructions carefully.

Share your experience level and any relevant individual needs in the form. Ask the instructor about anything that is unclear, including whether the class is suitable for you. Registration should begin a conversation, not leave you guessing.

Prepare your space

Choose a comfortable area with enough room to move, place your mat, and position your device so you can see the instructor. Check your connection and sound before the session begins.

Ask about any equipment or setup requirements in advance. You do not need to build a perfect home studio to ask a question and get started.

Confirm how you will join

The form says participants will be added to a group. Make sure you have received the joining information before the first class. If you are unsure, contact Arveen about classes.

Arriving prepared is mostly a collection of small things: a time, a space, the right link, and a willingness to learn.

Keep exploring, at your own pace.
